Jack and Jill Blu-Ray Review

Synopsis: Jack Sadelstein (Adam Sandler), a successful advertising executive in Los Angeles with a beautiful wife (Katie Holmes) and kids, who dreads one event each year: the holiday visit of his identical twin sister Jill (also Adam Sandler). Jill’s neediness and passive-aggressiveness are maddening to Jack, turning his normally tranquil life upside down. Things spin even more out of control for Jack when Jill decides to extend her visit and he doesn’t think that she’ll ever leave!

Review: Oh, Adam Sandler.  Sigh.  Sandler was one of the funniest cast members to come out of the 1990s SNL casts.  His characters on that show and his several following films were absolute comedic gems.  In a desperate move to regain some comedy placing after the Hangover changed the game, Sandler is cross-dressing and playing his own sister.  I expect this type of move out of Eddie Murphy or Martin Lawrence.  The film itself is alright, if you enjoy really badly made films.  There are plenty of people that enjoy campy film..this one may be for you.  Sandler set a record with Razzie award nods for this one...
