The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog: Let's Race DVD Review

The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog: Let's Race DVD Review

Synopsis: Sonic Search and Smash Squad: Sonic outsmarts Coco nuts, then stumbles into a Convention of Bounty Hunter Robotnik creates Scratch and Grounder to be his S.S.S.S.S. Squad. Robotnik Express: Big Griz leader of a group of biker-bear rebels, mistakes Scratch and Grounder for Sonic and Tails, and teams up with S and G to attack the real Sonic and Tails. Mad Mike, Da Bear Warrior: When a Rebel Base is threatened by Robotnik, Sonic and Tails team up with Big Mike and Da Bears to run a booby-trapped gauntlet in their gigantic Road Warrior-like truck, breaking through every obstacle S and G put in their way until they save the rebels. Road Hog: Sonic loses his memory when Robotnik uses a hypnotic flower pollen on him, and tells him he's just an "ordinary" guy. With Tails trying to remind him who he is, Sonic joins a Hog Biker gang and hits the open road.

Review: When I was a kid, I LOVED Sonic the Hedgehog.  He took Mario's place as the coolest video game icon when Sega introduced the Genesis!  The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog: Let's Race DVD includes 3 episodes from the The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon.

Firstly, I need to say that I let my own kids be the ultimate judge of this release.  They LOVED it.  My kids are now way into Sonic and want the video games, etc.  This cartoon had a high production value back when it was produced back in 1993.  Sonic was in a high point and this cartoon helped to carry it even further!  I'd love to see full seasons of this one available eventually!

This is a very affordable release and a great blast from the past, I highly recommend!
