| Legends of the Superheroes - 1979 This made for TV movie re-united many cast members from the ultra-campy 60s Batman television show! They were two one hour specials brought to television by Hanna-Barbera. |
| The adventures of many of DC Comics greatest superheroes and villians. In the first episode, The Challenge, the superheroes must race against time to stop the diabolical supervillians' plot to destroy the world. In the second episode, "The Roast", the superheroes pay tribute to Batman and Robin in the form of a roast which even the villians attend, hosted by Ed McMahon. The show included most of the major DC characters, but Wonder Woman and Superman couldn't join the party. They were both being used in either movie or television format at the time. |
