Game of Thrones Fans: Winter Is Here...But It Brings No Snow!

Click the Above Title to read the Full Story....
Its hard out there for a Game of Thrones fan.  We dare to get involved with a character, only to be forced to watch them systematically and unceremoniously killed off.  The latest victim of this phenomenon, Jon Snow, left Game of Thrones fans ready to riot after his death in the tragic season five finale.   The conspiracy theories began to fly online before his body was even cold and Snow fans have been holding out hope for some degree of resurrection for their favorite sensitive man of the nights watch.

Unfortunately, HBO executive Michael Lombardino enjoys killing dreams!   At the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour this past week Lombardino made the following statement regarding the future of the beloved Jon Snow:

“Dead is dead is dead. He be dead. Yes. Everything I’ve seen, heard and read, he is dead,”

In other Game of Thrones news, HBO also revealed that the show will end after the eighth season.  Thats only three more epic seasons to go before we're again left with a dragon-sized hole in our collective hearts!

The ever devoted Snow fans are still keeping hope alive that maybe the death isn't exactly pernament and that maybe he will reappear in some other form in the series.  They may have reason to be hopeful.  In fact, Game of Thrones scribe George R.R. Martin was asked about the literary death of Jon Snow by Entertainment Weekly back in 2011 to which he coyly replied "Oh, you think he’s dead, do you?"

HBO doesn't exactly have a history of being honest with the fans anyway, so can we really trust them?  Lets look at the facts.  Jon Snow actor Kit Harington has been spotted in Belfast where Game of Thrones is filming.   The fact that they keep addressing the issue and sending messengers with death promises smells of misdirection a bit too much.  We get that a lot from movie and television studios these days, in an effort to preserve some level of surprise in a world filled with leaks and online spoilers.

What do you think, will Jon Snow be back in some form?  Or is he gone for good?
