Beware the Batman DVD early release? And Blu-Ray option!

The fate of the Beware the Batman cartoon may be in question, but the first DVD release is without a question due out on Tuesday, February 18th.  However, I noticed that a local Wal-Mart already has it on the shelves!  I don't know if this is an official early release or if my location just put it out too early.  Their website doesn't list the product at all, so check your local stores.  Also, if you go on they are offering the season one, part one release on blu-ray!

New Batman Animated Figures: Two Separate toylines?

DC Collectibles has listed the figures as follows:

•NEW LINE -- Batman: The Animated Series action figure: Catwoman

•NEW LINE -- The New Batman Adventures action figures: Batman, Two Face, Mr. Freeze

Is it possible that Batman: The Animated Series and The New Batman Adventures will be two different toylines?  If so, I think that would be a great idea..I personally want full lines of both.

Release Date, Price, Style info on The Batman: The Animated Series Figures!

Ok, we now know its a November release for a whopping $24.95 a piece!  We get the BTAS Catwoman, as we know, and the Two-Face, Mr. Freeze and Batman are all the New Batman Adventures style!  Watch for pics this weekend as Toy Fair unfolds.

Toy Fair '14: Mezco 1966 Batman Blind Box Vinyls

DC Collectibles Batman: The Animated Series Figures Coming!

Batman and Catwoman have been revealed.  Two-Face and Mr. Freeze are at Toy Fair, as well!  They have some nice articulation..not too much..and beautiful sculpts.  Only one issue, if I may offer one, is that they either need to settle on Batman: TAS or the New Batman Adventures style.  Here, we have one of each..that just doesn't mix on my shelf.  I want both, mind you, but not a mix. Just my two cents.  What do you think of these Bat-Fans?

Robot Chicken: Dc Comics Special II: Villains in Paradise Coming in March!

Robot Chicken and DC Comics are teaming up again and it's front-page news — literally. The comic book publisher is producing variant covers for 22 of its March issues to celebrate Robot Chicken DC Comics Special II, the second edition of the Adult Swim hit's parody of the DC Universe.

The first special, which aired in 2012, showcased DC's super friends — including Superman, Wonder Woman and Aquaman — in Robot Chicken's trademark stop-motion style and irreverent humor. The second chapter, subtitled "Villains in Paradise," premieres this spring and puts the spotlight on the Legion of Doom, including Lex Luthor, the Joker and Catwoman. Robot Chicken creators and Stoopid Buddy Stoodio's co-founders Seth Green and Matthew Senreich worked with Geoff Johns, DC's chief creative officer, on both episodes.

Last time around, DC offered a special variant cover to its Aquaman comic. To celebrated "Villains in Paradise" they are producing 22 special versions, some of them delightfully disturbing. Among the series getting the Robot Chicken treatment are the publisher's two most iconic series, Action Comics and Detective Comics, plus the popular miniseries Forever Evil.
