Homeland: The Complete First Season Blu-Ray Review

Synopsis: Hailed as TV's best new drama by critics everywhere, the award-winning HOMELAND* delivers compelling characters, thrilling twists and breathtaking suspense. Carrie Mathison (Golden Glober winner Claire Danes), a brilliant but volatile CIA agent, suspects that a rescued American POW may not be what he seems. Is Marine Sgt. Nicholas Brody_(Damian Lewis) a war hero...or an Al Qaeda sleeper agent plotting a spectacular terrorist attack on U.S. soil? Following her instincts, Mathison will risk everything to uncover the truth - her reputation, her career and even her sanity. Packed with multiple layers and hidden clues, Season One offers something new every time you see it...watch carefully.

Review: The norm these days, especially on cable, seems to be historical drama and fantasty sci-fi horror....Homeland gives us some variety with a turn to military-based drama.  We have marines..we have CIA..we have POWs and lots of political thrills.  Claire Danes looks gorgeous as ever and does a fantastic job as a straight laced CIA agent.  The cast is great in this show..very fresh and unique.  The drama throughout season one was fantastic with a lot of layers to it.  I can't wait for season two to air on Showtime!
