Cats & Dogs Blu-Ray Review

Cats and Dogs Blu-Ray Review

Synopsis: They’re cunning. They’re stealthy. They’re waging a top-secret, ultra-high-tech struggle for global domination right under our noses. They’re…Cats & Dogs! Witness this epic “tail” of what happens when an eccentric professor (Jeff Goldblum) makes a discovery that could tip the age-old balance of pet power. Now an inexperienced young beagle pup (voiced by Tobey Maguire) will undertake the ultimate mission impawsible: saving humankind from total catastrophe! Voices of Alec Baldwin, Susan Sarandon, Jon Lovitz, Charlton Heston and Sean Hayes are also featured.

Review: Oh, no..here comes the cliche, right?  A talking animal kids movie.  Not again!  Right?  Wrong!  Cats and Dogs revolutionized kids movies with their snarky and fun take on the talking animals.  The film has great star power with Susan Sarandon and Jon Lovitz and as many jokes for the adults as the kids!  This film is a spoof on James Bond and other action spy films, but with the premise that there is a secret world existing beneath ours amongst the pets!

The sequel to Cats and Dogs (The Revenge of Pussy Galore) is coming to theaters and now you can see the original hit on blu-ray for the first time.  The sound and picture both look fantastic.  The transfer into high-definition was a wonderful success.   Our kids love this film and continue to be huge fans of what is turning out to be a cool franchise.
Interest Range: Kids Movies, Talking Animals
